Seawolf Huey Gunship aboard the USS Midway, 21NOV09
At 1100 hours, 21 November 2009, Seawolf HU-1 '321' made a perfect landing aboard the USS Midway in downtown San Diego. While aboard, she joined Seawolf '319', a static display Seawolf UH-1, to form the first-ever Seawolf fire team on US soil. The aircraft remained aboard for the evening, and departed Sunday for Murietta, CA. Aboard 321 during the fly-in were gunners AECS BILL RUTLEDGE (ROH) DET 8/1/NATOPS, AT1 MIKE CONNELLY (ROH) DET 5, and AE2 MIKE DOBSON ROH DET 1. A special THANK YOU to Wings and Rotors Museum, for keeping this special aircraft airborne, and keeping the history of the Seawolves alive and well.
